Powder Coating
Powder Coating is the preferred finishing process for the future! It's a cost effective method and is safer for the environment than other coatings.
The powder coating process
During the powder coating process, a powder is applied with a spray gun.
The gun and the powder are electro-statically charged while the item to be coated is grounded. When the powder is sprayed onto the item to be coated, it sticks because the metal is ground.
Curing
Once the entire surface is sprayed, it is transferred to our curing oven. It is then heated to it's melting point (usually between 350 - 400 degrees) and into a smooth finish.
